Nicole W. McGarry, LPC, PLLC
Nicole McGarry is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and Clinical Supervisor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has over 20 years experience helping children and families. Nicole provides individual and group psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. She specializes in ADHD, emotional regulation, DBT and ACT skills training, adolescent development, early childhood development, attachment issues and adoption, and women’s issues. She has extensive experience with parent coaching and works closely with parents to set goals related to raising anxious kids, children with ADHD, or navigating the teen years.
Nicole’s psychotherapy practice is designed to support young clients with healthy emotional, behavioral, and social development. She works with parents and families to facilitate positive communication, effective discipline, and to strengthen family bonds. Nicole also works collaboratively with schools and other professionals to assure positive treatment outcomes. She utilizes a variety of treatment approaches to help clients reach their goals, including psychodynamic, DBT, ACT, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, sensorimotor integration, and play and expressive therapies.
