Lynne Hook

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a post-master's degree in counseling from George Mason University. I have 40 years’ experience working with children and adults in the Fairfax County Public School System, one year externship at The Women’s Center in Vienna, and three years in private practice at McLean Psychotherapy Practices. I provide psychotherapy services for adults, adolescents, couples and children. I have experience in trauma informed care with adults, autism spectrum adults, divorce and life transitions, depression/anxiety, couples therapy, substance abuse recovery, parenting strategies, career transitions, grief and loss, and Individual Education Plans (IEP/504) for children with academic needs.

My psychotherapy practice is designed to build a positive rapport in the counseling setting by establishing strong, trusting relationships with my client(s) in order to effect change. My approaches are client-centered, solution-focused, and reality based; used to partner with my clients to meet their therapeutic needs. I work with the client to make a strategic-based theraputic plan that will improve their lives.
