Lisa O. Elkin, Psy.D., PLLC
Dr. Elkin is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Virginia. She has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in individual and group psychotherapy. Dr. Elkin specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, issues related to attention, developmental delays, parenting concerns, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. When working with children, Dr. Elkin collaborates with parents, schools, and other providers to facilitate the best possible treatment outcomes. Dr. Elkin provides a safe and supportive space for her clients to work together with her to meet their goals. She practices in a psychodynamic framework which helps clients have a better understanding of the root causes of their symptoms or unwanted behaviors, and their associated feelings and thoughts.
