Kris Lamb, MA
Kris Lamb is a Resident in Counseling, working towards licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a LPC. She received her Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University’s CACREP-accredited counselor education program. During her time as a graduate student, she was a counseling intern at HopeSpring Child and Family Clinic. She worked with children, teens, and adults that have experienced traumatic events, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.
Kris also worked as a behavioral therapist for 3 years in the clinic and home-based settings doing applied behavioral analysis. She has been passionate about working with individuals with ASD. Working with this population has been fulfilling for Kris to be able to provide ABA therapy for the past years. She loves to be able to integrate a treatment plan with the client (and client family), for how therapy can be tailored for individuals with ASD.
Kris’ practice focuses on the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy and client-centered play therapy. The importance of the therapeutic bond for Kris is being able to work together as a team.
