Lindsey Markwood, LCSW

Lindsey Markwood is a Clinical Social Worker, licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
She attended Boston University as an undergraduate and completed her master’s in clinical social work at the National Catholic School of Social Service at Catholic University.
She has also completed post-graduate training in object relations psychotherapy at the International Psychotherapy Institute in Chevy Chase, MD. She speaks Spanish conversationally.
Ms. Markwood has extensive experience working with individuals in recovery for alcohol and drug addiction as well as adolescents that may be struggling with substance abuse. She is passionate about providing a safe space for adolescents and young adults struggling with the pressures of competitive schools and/or peers, parental conflict, self-harming and other risky behaviors to repair these issues in accepting environment. For many years she has helped adolescents, young adults, professionals and couples address anxiety and depression due to past trauma and/or current life transitions or circumstances. Ms. Markwood believes in a holistic approach to help clients improve their emotional well-being.
