Thank you so much for visiting my profile. I am an LPC with nearly 10 years of psychotherapy experience working with adolescents, adults and families in diverse settings ranging from short-term stabilization to long-term treatment. I strive to create a therapeutic space for clients to better access their innate ability to heal by providing time, space, guidance and support. I lean towards more body-mind approaches to therapy while integrating CBT/DBT and trauma-informed techniques. Alison is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia (VA: 0701011136). She earned her MA in Counseling from Marymount University in the Northern Virginia area and BA in Psychology from Ball State University. Alison is a certified yoga teacher (YTT-200) and is currently pursuing her somatic experiencing practitioner certificate (SEP) from the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute.
